I mean a good two way hit that has a good steady conductive number in the coin range will be a coin. The ferrous number will change more often and if it changes alot then you have something else close by or its junk. If the ferrous number goes up in the twenties you have a much smaller chance of seeing a coin.Someone here posted anything above 27 is always trash, I tend to pass up a 24. I assume you are talking about the rectangular pull tab? They will jump above the 13 to 14, 15 or 16 if you turn a little and when you pinpoint you can "Feel" the target is longer one way and the pipoint may move just a little. The pinpoint feature on the Etrac is almost as important as the screen numbers. That Pro-Coil is amazing at what it does! As you pinpoint you can learn to "Feel" you way thru the size of the target. I will often go back and forth from pinpoint to discriminate over a target before I dig because I want to be absolutely certain of what it is. I dig very little junk unless the targets are few and far between then I will get a little dig happy just to see what I have.
