Hello from Denmark - Freunde suchen..

Thank you for letting me inside you forum - Those of you, who are international migth know me form UK Forum. Under same name - Danzigman. My IRL name is John. Im 46y.o.
Hi from Denmark. Look for friends with mutual interest. We are a family, with one child/girl age 4. Just so this will not turn totally “Metal detecting” we think family stuff to. 
I don’t know exactly how this will turn out to be. But maybe in future we meet in DE/DK. With the space to do other things than MD to – holidaying, swimm, fish, BBQ, have a beer ect.. 
Anyway we live in a very much Turist Resort area - The Insel Laesö in North Dënmark. Expensive and difficult to go to – since it is an island.. 
Not much to find here, except on the beach. Best fligth path is Aalborg. But guess car is preferred. We can offer a great Maritim inviroment all year around, great nature and opportunity to forrest walk - pick mushrooms, beach walk and find amber.
I hope to go out detecting Germany indland, find stuff older than 1700, maybe even roman. Im not into finding war artefacts, as it makes me sad.

Hier nicht viel zu finden, außer am Strand. Beste fligth Pfad Aalborg. Aber Vermutung Auto bevorzugt. Wir können eine große Maritim inviroment das ganze Jahr über zu bieten, großartige Natur und die Möglichkeit, Wald Spaziergang - Pilze sammeln, zu Fuß am Strand und finden Bernstein.
Ich hoffe, zu gehen Erkennen Deutschland indland finden Zeug älter als 1700, vielleicht sogar roman. Im nicht in der Suche nach Kriegsende Artefakte, wie es mich traurig macht.

Im not trying to be impolite.. Just that I have been on (Im still are) on Brittish forums - 3378 post - just counted.

Moderators and forum staff normally always come forward to say Hi to new..

Well, this is a german speaking forum, so english speakers are always welcome, but there is no entitlement to a massive load of responses if your are not posting in the native language. I suspect, the same might be happening if you post in a french speaking forum in english, or in an english speaking forum in german...

Anyway, there is also some cultural difference between english/american and german detectorist forums which you will find out quite quickly: The german ones are more focussed on finds, and not so much an idle chat. So if you post interesting finds, there will be responses, but not so much on general statements. I'm not saying that one is better than the other, but this is just something you have to accept when posting in german speaking forums.

Hi Bert.. I fully understand that difference between cultures.. As you noticed Im Not form US or UK, but Denmark. I was thinking to appeal to detectorist, who looked outside country boarders. 
I meet many German people every year where I live, and have often wondered if any of them did some Metaldetecting.. 
I put myself in the more Serious Category of MD people.. Always walk with GPS and Zip bags,, Work part time, on of for the museum ect.. Im in to the history and the research.. Do a  lot of ID ect.. 
Anyway - You say interesting found.. I put up the big and rare Silver dress hook for 12-1500 Not much interest around it.. So no worries.. I give this some time, to se if I can find some friends or not..

you got 9 responses and 240 views for your cloth fastener within one day, while posting in english on a german speaking website, with pictures which are way too small to see anything on them. I don't know about your expectations, but I'd say this is not too bad, considering the circumstances.
